"Golden Khata" lifts remote schools

Galeng Tibetan village, an impoverished area in northwest China's Qinghai Province, long struggled with poor schooling for children. As a result of policies to fight poverty, students have gained access to multiple courses and extra-curricular activities. NPC deputy Gu Qingyue, professor at Air Force Engineering University and initiator of the "Golden Khata" education program for poor areas, visited one of the supported schools, Jianshetun Primary School, and recorded the life changes for students.
